Story[ | ]
Terrible news! I have contracted amnesia -- the disease that makes you forget everything except that fact that you have amnesia!
That IS terrible! How did it happen?
Let's review the basic property of amnesia, shall we?
So after all those times Calculon's TV character got amnesia, now Calculon has amnesia for real?
Yeah, it sounds fishy to me too. You think he's faking?
Nah, I believe him. Remember, I've had amnesia a couple of times myself, and I'm not a TV character.
Part 2
Description[]
- Calculon deals with his amnesia.
Objectives
- Have Scruffy Watch TV (6s)
- Have Kif Watch TV (6s)
- Build Anonyco Sponsor Building (6s)
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
Excuse me, sir. Even though I'm suffering from amnesia, I'm nearly sure we've never met. Am I right?
Yes, but of course I'm familiar with your work.
Really? Then I must be someone important! A politician? A business executive? A respected scientist?
Or -- joy of joys -- an actor who pretends to be all of those things and makes more money in one day than you'll see in your whole lifetime?
Humble janitor, how do you keep your sanity in this madness called life?
Of course! I shall star in a porn film!
You already did, early in your career.
Won you your only Golden Globe. Mm-hm.
Part 3
Description[]
- Professor finds a solution.
Objectives
- Collect 25 Memory Chips from Space
- Collect 12 Scripts
- Place the Wedding Trellis
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
I may have found a way to cure your amnesia -- by replacing your damaged memory chips with new ones collected from space.
Make it so! I'll do anything -- ANYTHING! -- just to be able to recall the children I imagine I have.
No, you don't have any real children. Your TV character has several dozen, though.
Then restore my memory -- for the good of those poor fictional fatherless waifs!
Thanks to your shipment of memory chips, I am slowly recovering my memories. I vaguely recall a wedding.
That's the TV show again. In real life you're a bachelor, but your character's been married two hundred times.
One man getting TV-married two hundred times?! I must be the greatest actor ever!
Part 4
Description[]
- Calculon is reminded of his acting days.
Objectives
- Have Crew Fall for Product Placement 3 times
- Place 1 Lagerstroemia Flower Bed
- Place 2 Cordyline Flower Beds
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
I'm told that before my amnesia, I was a great actor.
Uh-huh. You were the star of "All My Circuits", my favorite robot soap opera!
I would imagine I used scripts. Perhaps seeing one would help restore my memory.
I also imagine that I had people whose job it was to bring me anything I wanted.
There's something odd about these scripts you found. I played a character named Calculon, yet my real name is Calculon.
Yeah, every actor on "All My Circuits" played a character with the same name.
They save a lot of money that way by not having to print up cast lists.
Part 5
Description[]
- Calculon tries to recall past events.
Objectives
- Place Antonio Calculon Jr.
- Collect 50 Memory Chips
- Have Crew Fall for Product Placement 2 Times
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
This is the strangest case of amnesia I've ever seen, since it's in real life instead of on TV. What's the last thing you remember clearly?
Someone was about to reveal their terrible secret to me -- when suddenly a box fell on my head.
Sudden interruption of a terrible secret reveal, eh? I suspect you got amnesia while performing a scene in which you get amnesia!
Amnesia is truly the cruelest disease. It robs you of everything but the ability to display EMOTION!
I've just discovered I have a son -- Antonio Calculon Jr.!
He's not your real son. He's a child actor who played Antonio Calculon Jr. on TV.
But his name in real like IS Antonio Calculon Jr., right?
Part 6
Description[]
- Calculon runs into Boxy Robot.
Objectives
- Have Boxy Steal the Scene (4h 0m 0s)
- Place Filmer's Choice Camera
- Have Crew Fall for Practice Product Placement 3 Times
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
You there -- box-shaped robot. You seem familiar. Do I know you?
Of course -- Boxy Robot, my beloved TV sidekick! It is I, Calculon. If I seem different, it's on account of all the amnesia I'm suffering from.
Ha! Good old Boxy. Always quick with a punchline no comedy writer could improve upon.
I've just been to the studio, Boxy! It seems you've been editing yourself into my videos in place of me -- Calculon!
Wrong on both counts! I WOULDN'T have done that same to you, and you WON'T get away with it! You haven't heard the last of...
Part 7
Description[]
- Calculon feels sorry for himself.
Objectives
- Build Pyramid Tower (15s)
- Collect 4 Film Reels
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
What's up, Calculon? Why aren't you out somewhere being famous and adored?
I just found out that the studio's replacing me with Boxy Robot!
They can't do that. You're a star! Boxy Robot couldn't possibly replace you!
They'd need some sort of fabulously debonair bending robot for that...
I don't know, Bender...Perhaps I should just let Boxy take my place and walk sadly into the distance.
Preferably with the setting sun glinting cinematically off my case...
That's a load of crap! You're telling me the star of "12 Angry Robots" isn't going to fight back?
I was in "12 Angry Robots"? Did I play the jury foreman?
Part 8
Description[]
- Calculon stands up to Boxy Robot.
Objectives
- Have Bender Fall for Product Placement (4h 0m 0s)
- Collect 45 Memory Chips
- Place Tanning Butter Billboard
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
It's all coming back to me. It wasn't a box that hit me on the head -- it was a robot shaped like a box!
But which one? WHICH ONE??? Any ideas, Boxy?
No, Container Unit 12 would never do a thing like that to me. I saved his life in Vietnam in a movie once. Which can mean only one thing...
I'm sure I'll think of it in a minute.
Why, Boxy, why? I stood up for you when you were accused of drug abuse and Satanism. Why have you turned on me?
Because you were high and the devil made you do it?! I don't think so! You're protecting someone... of course!
Monique! Dramatic organ chord!
Part 9
Description[]
- Monique emerges.
Objectives
- Build Eye of New New York (1h)
- Place Human Friend
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
So, Monique -- my beautiful robot co-star and lover...
Let me finish. Co-star and lover who seduced Boxy Robot into giving me amnesia and replacing me because you wanted a show of your own!
I'm sorry, Calculon! I only did it because I'm evil! Can I apologize by marrying you? On television?
This isn't one of those lovers' quarrels you can just patch up with a televised wedding, Monique!
It's all coming back to me now, Monique. We were at dinner, celebrating my birthday, when you excused yourself.
You'd hidden Boxy in the ladies' room, and when you returned, you dropped him on my head!
Why, Monique? Didn't I always show you many different kinds of feelings? What can Boxy give you that I can't?
Part 10
Description[]
- Calculon settles the score.
Objectives
- Have Monique Admire Her Jewelry (1h 0m 0s)
- Have Boxy Engage Stealth Mode (3h 0m 0s)
- Recruit Monique to the Crew
Rewards[]
Story[ | ]
You win, Monique. I hope you and Boxy have a long and highly-rated marriage. I'll step aside in the most theatrical way possible -- suicide.
Calculon, wait! It was all an act! Boxy and I just wanted to give you a memorable birthday, so we concocted this dramatic masquerade!
You gave me a concussion, let me wander aimlessly with amnesia for days, and edited Boxy into my old footage as a birthday present?
You two are the best supporting characters a star could have!
Minor supporting characters. Cameo roles, really.
So you see, Bender, it was all a scenario devised by Boxy and Monique to let me experience the drama of real life.
I learned a lot. Apparently the emotion I've been expressing in my performances look COMPLETELY PHONY!
I need to go bigger. So I've instructed the studio to start printing my scripts in all-caps.
